From London: take M4 westbound, M5 southbound to Junction 27. Follow the A361 to Barnstaple. See below for directions from Barnstaple.

From the Midlands and the North: take M5 southbound to Junction 27. Follow the A361 to Barnstaple. See below for directions from Barnstaple.

From Wales: Take M4 eastbound, then M% southbound to Junction 27. Follow the A361 to Barnstaple. See below for directions from Barnstaple.

From Cornwall: Take the A30 to Okehampton then the A386 towards Bideford, then the A39 to Barnstaple. See below for directions from Barnstaple.

From France: Take Brittany Ferries from Roscoff to Plymouth. From Plymouth take the A386 to Tavistock, Okehampton, Bideford, then the A39 to Barnstaple. See below for directions from Barnstaple.

From Barnstaple: follow signs for Lynton (NOT Ilfracombe at this stage) and the North Devon District Hospital. Up the 40mph speed limit hill to the Hospital traffic lights. Straight over these lights and less than 1km further on there is a left turn signposted to Ilfracombe (the road you are on carries on to Lynton). Take the left turn, down the hill then up the hill into trees. Very soon you will see a signpost left into Broomhill Art Hotel and Sculpture Gardens.
