Tenfold • Emma Rodgers
Emma Rodgers works tirelessly in every sense of the word, her spare time is a commodity not in abundance, the standard of her work bears testament to the ability and conviction of the artist. Good art is not a by product of good luck, rather hard work, and this is why Emma succeeds at what she does. The quality of her sculptures, are evidence of her conviction, she captures a moment of life in the stillness of sculpture yet breathes life and movement into the piece and makes bronze or ceramic suddenly come to life.
Emma has taught workshops at the Frink school of Sculpture and St Anselm’s College. She has shown at the Royal Academy Summer Show and had her work displayed with the top names in British art today. She has also exhibited at the Bruton Street Gallery in Mayfair, such is the demand for her work that top British museums and public galleries are starting to buy her work before it gets too expensive to do so.
In early 2004 the Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight, Wirral purchased some of Emma’s works for inclusion in their public collection. These pieces are currently on display alongside works by Turner, Constable, Morland, Reynolds and one of the best Pre-Raphaelite collections of art in Great Britain.
